Roisin Lowry is a music teacher, performer and composer/songwriter. She holds an honours BMus degree from University College Cork and a DipLCM in Piano Performance from the London College of Music. Roisin has also received several performance awards in recent years, including a UCC ‘Donal Gleeson’ Bursary.
Roisin has been playing violin for fifteen years, initially learning Irish
traditional music and then proceeding to study Classical music. She has been involved with many ensembles and collaborations in recent years, including ‘Dolce Quartet’, where she was violinist and arranger.
Roisin has been playing piano for thirteen years. She has performed at
several public masterclasses led by acclaimed concert pianists, including Barry
Douglas and John O’Connor. She is accomplished in the genres of Classical,
Contemporary, Popular and Jazz music and is an experienced performer.
Currently, Roisin teaches piano, violin, voice and music theory. She is also busy gigging with and working on the debut EP release of her solo music project, ‘L?wli’.
